Whole House Water Filters Perth
Better water for your whole home, not just one tap
Perth’s scheme water is safe to drink, but “safe” and “good” aren’t the same thing. Between the treatment plant and your tap, water can still carry chlorine, fine sediment and trace chemicals — the things you notice in the taste, the smell, and how your skin and hair feel after a shower.
A whole house water filter treats water where it enters your property, so every shower, tap and appliance gets the benefit — not just the kitchen sink. Instead of swapping cartridges every few months or buying bottled water, you get one system that quietly does its job in the background.
We don’t sell the same box to every home. We test your water first, then design a system around your actual results, your household size and how you use water. You get filtration built for your situation — not a generic off-the-shelf fix.
What a whole house filter improves
Chlorine, trace chemicals, taste and smell
- The most common reason Perth families call us. Reducing chlorine and chemicals at the source means better-tasting, purer water and a gentler shower for skin and hair.
Sediment and particles
- Sand, silt and fine grit that can come through older or recently-worked mains.
Hard water scale
- If you're getting white crusty build-up on tapware and glassware, we'll recommend pairing your filter with a water softener for full protection.

Pricing Guide
What does a whole house water filter cost in Perth?
The most important number to consider when deciding on a system isn’t how much you pay to install the system, but how much it costs to keep the system.
Because every system is tailored to your water and home, we don’t do one fixed price — but here’s an honest guide:
- Whole-home filtration solutions typically range from $1,499 to $8,999, depending on system type, size and install requirements.
- Cartridge-less whole-home systems start from around $3,899 — on par with some cartridge systems upfront and saving you around $3,500 over 5 years*.
- Ongoing media replacement for cartridge-less systems is usually only needed at long intervals — around $450 (supply only).
We confirm exact pricing after a free in-home water test and site check, so there are no surprises.
*Prices are indicative and vary with water quality, household size, system size, install complexity, access, power and plumbing. Final pricing is confirmed after on-site assessment.
Whole house water filter FAQs
Do I really need a whole house filter if Perth water is already treated?
Perth water meets safety guidelines, but treatment doesn’t remove everything you might notice — chlorine taste and smell, sediment, and trace chemicals. A whole house filter is about improving the water you drink, cook and shower in every day.
Where does the system get installed?
At your mains water entry point, so every tap in the house benefits. We assess the best location, drainage and power during your free site check.
Will it reduce my water pressure?
Our systems are sized to maintain strong flow. Most homeowners notice little to no change in pressure.
How much maintenance is involved?
Cartridge-less media isn’t replaced frequently like cartridge filters because it works differently and is designed for long service life. In most homes, media lasts around up to 5 years, depending on how much water is used and the quality of the incoming supply. Higher usage or heavier chlorine levels mean the media works harder and reaches the end of its useful life sooner, while lighter use extends it. This longer interval keeps maintenance low while still delivering consistent water improvement across the home.
How much does it cost?
Solutions typically range from $1,499 to $8,999, with cartridge-less systems from around $3,899. We confirm exact pricing after a free water test.
Why don't you sell 1 micron systems?
It isn’t a factor of cutting costs, 1 micron filters cost the same as others. We don’t install ultra-fine whole-home filters because they create more problems than benefits. When filtration is too tight, water pressure drops, filters clog quickly, and systems need constant replacements, which drives up cost and maintenance. Good water filtration is about balance, improving water quality while keeping strong flow and reliable performance throughout the home. Ultra-fine filtration is best used at a point of use, like a drinking tap, where water has already been filtered and only a small amount needs extra polishing.
What do you test for?
Our test kits are designed to test beyond ‘TDS’. TDS stands for total dissolved solids, this doesn’t tell the full story of what needs treating with your water. TDS can include things like good minerals and doesn’t give an indication on what needs treating.
Our equipment will determine chlorine levels and how much of the total is contributed to by things like hardness that cause scale.
What tank size do I need?
Our standard size tanks cover 90% of homes.
We may suggest a tank upgrade where a home has 5 or more bathrooms.
The benefits of an larger sized tank comes down to increased capacity of filter material. This means where there is more water used the time between replacements can be increased, there is an added benefit of increased time that the water contacts the filtering material as well.
